Fix Melted Fleece How Do You Fix An Electrical Outlet That Has Melted?

How do you fix an electrical outlet that has melted? - fix melted fleece

Taking GFI in my bathroom recently poured. My mother was using a hairdryer and I think a bedside lamp was connected at that time. The next thing I knew I had a small fire outside the start and since then useless and dangerous.

Is this a quick fix that could do it myself? Or what I would call an electrician?

Thank you in advance.

There is no reason it can not tackle this problem itself is simple. It is what he wrote that it is wrong, GFI was clear. First, turn off the power to the GFI, then the number of sons in the electric field. Separate individually sheathed cable, you need a white and a black wire content on the left side and another set on the right side. Here's the tricky part. You need to calculate which set of power cables in addition you need only a simple voltage tester to check the voltage from white to black. You should read 120V on one of the sets. If only one game in the following table, should your diet. The GFI will be on the back line and load lines are marked, the supply and the load is a permanent racetrack. Slope of the result set to connect its ground to green ground screw connected to the screw into the device, turning on the power, then press the reset button. You must then press the test button to verify that it works correctly. To kill The reset button will and the powerDevice and other devices operated by it. Finally, press the reset button again and you're ready, a device that costs $ 200.00, will be installed to be used. If you think it is very complicated, then I agree with previous proposals for transfer to an electrician.

I leave that task to professionals. Even if you have to install yourself, it could still be hidden dangers that the average person would not be possible. This could cause electric shock and / or fire. There is also the possibility of real danger to you during the repair, if you try anything. Electricians do know the intricacies of such things can, and so safe for them and for you.

Put in another. They are in most hardware stores and Walmart. Throw the switch ND simply replacing the cable as before. Look for a thread in the presentation layer, or else are cool
